The government coalition of the Conservative Union and the Social Democrats in Germany is about to score. In the case of joint cooperation, you plan to dismiss asylum seekers on the borders. Austria responded immediately and refused to accept these people, as the Ministry of the Interior announced.
The heads of the Union and the SPD had previously agreed a joint course in migration policy. In the future, people must also be rejected during the checks that must be checked at the country borders that will offer an asylum application – but only in coordination with the respective neighboring state.
Austria on a confrontation course
As afraid of the previously fear, Austria is in the project in Germany and goes to the course of the confrontation. From the point of view of Austria, people who request asylum are not allowed to be rejected at the border according to the applicable EU legislation.
The Ministry of the Interior has therefore instructed the State Police Departments involved in order not to “not accept” the refusal to “accept” the German authorities. In addition, “immediately” reports must be reported in the case of corresponding perceptions, it said at the request of the German news agency DPA.
Austria: restrictive asylum measures planned
The new Austrian coalition of the ÖVP, Spö and Neos even plans restrictive measures in the field of asylum and migration. For example, family reunion must be stopped temporarily.
Union and SPD plan a similar step that would influence family members of refugees with a limited protection state. The Federal Government of Austria also reserves the right to activate the EU Nood Clause in the case of increasing asylum applications and no longer accept new applications.
