Russian President Vladimir Putin has now finally given personal comments on the American plan of a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine. The Kremlin chef emphasized that his country was also for a truce, but the following conditions in Russia should be met: the basis should be created for a “long -term peace”. Moreover, the “deeper causes” of the war should be removed.
The Russian head of state, who stood before the press after a meeting with his white -Russian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko, referred to the government of Wolodyymyr Senskyj, which he actually wanted to overthrow. The two presidents accused the EU on Thursday and NATO “hostility” and “destabilization” actions in Ukraine. In the past, too, Moscow had described NATO East extension and also a possible absorption of Ukraine in the military alliance as “aggression” and saw the southwestern border as threatened.
What happens to Ukrainians in Kursk?
In the American proposal of a 30-day ceasefire, Putin said that the issue of the Ukrainian troops in the Kursk area had to be clarified: can they simply withdraw or are they taken as a prisoner of war? Russia is also interested in terminating the conflict with peaceful means. However, there were no questions about control over the cease -the fire. Russia definitely rejects the use of Western ‘peace -enforcers’. A real deviation from the maximum requirements for setting up the conflict is not. Putin did not say a word about the attached Ukrainian areas.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian negotiators had a proposal in Washington in discussions with American representatives in Saudi Arabia for a 30-day ceasefire in the war between Russia and Ukraine and agreed to immediately take negotiations with Russia. Ushakow criticized it -the Fires that was presented by the US on Thursday as a “breathing space” for the Ukrainian army.
