Governments of Central and Vasco propose a joint response to the homologation of titles

Date:

María Ubarretxena and Juan Ignacio Pérez explained the situation after the punishment of the Supreme last week and specified that it has not yet been decided whether there will be an appeal for the constitutional.

Since last Friday, teams from the Ministry of Territorial Policy and the Basque government have been working in a joint answer after the decision of the Supreme Court to cancel the transfer to Euskadi of the homologation of the diploma of the Foreign University.

The spokeswoman for the Basque director, María Ubarretxena, and the Minister of Science, Universities and Innovation, Juan Ignacio Pérez, have explained the situation after the Supreme Court of last week after the Basque Government Council and specified that It has not yet been decided whether there will be an appeal for the constitutional.

Since Friday and this week, the legal teams of both governments are looking for solutions for this situation, “on a good amount, to maintain a joint position and to find solutions that corresponded to them,” said the spokeswoman.

In the short term, they analyze whether there is a possibility to resolve the 200 people who have asked in Euskadi the homologation of their titles and whose files are paralyzed.

The Basque government is of the opinion that she could have asked for approval between 600 and 800 people, but because the deadline was only open for 15 days before the procedure was paralyzed, they remained in 200.

On the other hand, PNV and PSE-EE have one No bill in the Basque parliament in which they claim the ‘legality and constitution’ of the transfer to Euskadi of the approval of foreign titles and regret the consequences of their cancellation for the affected ones.

In their initiative, the two members of the Basque government encourage the Imanol Pradales director to use “all mechanisms at their disposal” to support this transfer.
