The city of Vienna costs a maximum of 18,000 euros per month and goes on to ensure non -counseled, small asylum seekers. This stems from a daily exercise list of private carrier organizations that offer the support and that of the “Kroon”. Faced with this list, politics is sweating.
The organization “new ways” requires 603 euros per day and refugee. Director Ernst Leideinger justified these amounts with personnel costs at the request of the “Krone”. This would make more than 85 percent of the costs. Depending on the intensity of care, the clock is needed around two supervisors. It is about mentally striking young people.
More than a third of the non -supported minors in Vienna
According to the city of Vienna, five non -supported minors are currently housed in such a special facility with mental treatment. Of the total of 570 non -supported, small refugees (UM) in the city, 200 are housed in private enclosures, 370 in organized accommodations, where a supervisor is on nine -end. There are a total of around 1400 non -counseled minors in basic services in Austria.
“Real Cost Model” ensures cost explosion
There are other daily rates in the remaining federal states. Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Carinthia offer the costs for non -counseled minors with 112 euros a day (seven get the young person immediately as pocket money). If the Intensive Care is needed, 130 euros will be compensated. 60 percent is reimbursed by the federal government. The fact that Vienna compensates more is justified in the so -called “Real Cost Model”. On the advice of the Court of Auditors, this was initiated more than a year ago as a project between the federal government and the city of Vienna. Upon request, the Ministry of the Interior emphasizes that less than a penny has yet flowed and that this model will be evaluated.
That says the hacker of the city councilor of Vienna
The municipal councilor Peter Hacker (Spö) responsible for basic care says that the other countries would have the same costs for young people with psychological problems as Vienna, they simply would not announce. He calculates the “Kroon” that would cost the care of mentally striking children and adolescents so much, regardless of their origins. And he encourages that this should be compared to the costs for a prisoner.
The “Kroon” did this: a prisoner currently costs around 180 euros a day, a day in the hospital – depending on the intervention – between 200 and 300 euros. Even the Intensive Care for the elderly at the highest level of care costs no more than 7,000 to 8,000 euros per month.
“Costs from Vienna to Vorarlberg”
“The costs of such institutions are just as high from Vienna to Vorarlberg. This is completely independent of the federal state. That runs for the staff. We have a 24-hour service with doctors and therapists.” Two dozen people would work in such a housing institution, says Hacker. And he adds: “This is not a standard facility with 600, 800 or 900 euros. These are super special institutions for people who are particularly sick who are particularly noticeable who are mentally ill. You get very quickly on such daily rates. And it is not a refugee-specific subject and it is not a Vienna-specific subject.” Hacker adds: “The Minister of the Interior and I agree to not evaluate the costs of the well -being of children and young people through basic care.”
Neos-Vice: “Not unusual for daily rates”
The pink mayor Bettina Emmerling’s office says: “These daily rates seem high at first sight, but are not unusual in comparison. They are children with serious psychological disorders that intensive care needs.
One refers to a reimbursement catalog of the state of LoWower Austria, which shows that the daily punishment for an “intensive education young group” with a childcare relationship is from one to one in one 1217 euros. However, the “Basic Module Inpatient Care” costs 271 a day. In the list of Vienna available in the “Krone”, the cheapest neighborhoods for minors without special healthcare costs 269 euros per day and head. That is still 8070 euros per month.
