“Customs System Insane” Tellve US states complain about Trump’s government

Date:

According to California, other US states have sued President Donald Trump’s government. Without the consent of the congress, Trump should not introduce any criminal rates, said a merger of twelve American states. Among them are New York, Oregon and Arizona.

“The insane customs system of President Trump is not only economically ruthless, but also illegal,” said the Minister of Justice of Arizona, Kris Mayes. Whatever the White House claims that rates “are a tax that is passed on to consumers in Arizona”. The Democrats in California brought a lawsuit last week.

The US president introduced the rates based on the International Emergency Economic Powers Act from 1977. According to this law, he would need the consent of the congress, the twelve US states argued in their complaint. Trump “changed the constitutional order upside down and knocked the American economy into chaos,” said it.

Customs between ten and 145 percent
At the beginning of April, the Republican announced a minimum customs set of ten percent for all trading partners. For around 60 countries, he initially raised considerably higher, including 20 percent for the EU. A week later, however, the US president carried out a U-turn and announced a “break” for 90 days. The minimum percentage of ten percent remained. Against China, the import duties of 145 percent continue to apply. The procedure led to a massive course in the stock markets on the stock exchanges.
