To put the separatist processes in the Serbian part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the payouts of state funds to two parties looking for Serbian Milorad Dodik have now stopped.
“I have decided to suspend all payments from budgets for the financing of the SNSD and the United SRPSKA parties,” said the high representative of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt, at a press conference in Sarajevo on Thursday. The decision comes into effect immediately.
Dodik’s party in sight
Schmidt said that with the freezing of the budgets for Dodik’s party SNSD and its coalition partner United Srpska, he wanted to support the efforts of the central institutions of the country to support the “flagrant attacks” of the Serbian Land of Republic Republica SRPSKA (RS).
In 2024, SNSD had more than two million convertible figures (about a million euros) and therefore about two -thirds of their income from the state treasury, reported the Bosnian Portal Klix.ba, referring to the Central Electoral Authority. The United SRPSKA received 395,141 convertible figures (in around 202,000 euros) and therefore more than half of its state funds. In Bosnia, the net average content in January 2024 was 1328 convertible figures (679 euros).
Dodik has now rejected the Schmidt office. “I don’t recognize him (Schmidt) and his decisions. I don’t care,” Dodik said reporters in response to Schmidt’s decision.
Detection of Dodiks failed
The general public prosecutor had published arrest trips against the president of Republika SRPSKA and against the RS minister of Radovan Višković and RS Parliament President Nenad Stevandić in March. The prosecutors accuse the trio attacks on the Constitutional Order of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Recently the parliament of the RS laws had decided to deprive the central courts, public prosecutors and federal police officers in the RS area. Dodik’s arrest by the General State Police Unit SIPA failed on Wednesday evening. Police officers of the RS, who were loyal, would have prevented this, said it.
