9000 euros in social assistance – “These are not isolated cases, but has a system”

Date:

A Syrian couple with eleven children receive more than 9,000 euros per month minimal security and other social benefits in Vienna. A sum that many working people can only dream of. The reactions are accordingly.

Krone.at user “Fass” calculates: “That is 108,000 euros a year! Many family fathers don’t even earn that in three years. Despite a full -time job.” “Albertoni” sees the error in the system: “The migrants are almost no fault, but our government, which allow this disaster and therefore (apparently) argue
And are especially responsible for this unbelievability, right? “

“This brings more and more voters to the FPö”
“Angel 2” in turn tackles the political effects: “This drives more and more voters to the FPö!” This does not stop her opinion either. Vienna FPö Boss Dominik Nepp refers to the case of a large Syrian large family that was covered in the previous year, which had collected 4,600 euros in minimal security every month: “These are not an isolated case, but a system: Spö-Ludwig has Vienna into a paradise in the brutsylum-seekers,”

NPP also confirms its requirement that social benefits such as minimal security can only be paid to Austrian citizens.

Uniform laws
The designated club chairman of the Wiener ÖVP, Harald Zierfuß, wants the city to adjust the benefits of minimal safety to the federal legislative requirements. “Although many currently have to hold the belt tightly, we experience on the other hand a growing pressure on our social system – especially through services to people who have never paid in the system. This is neither just nor sustainable,” Zierfuß continues.

More than two -thirds of the minimum security recipients live in Vienna. Many of them are the most right to asylum and who is entitled to a subsidiary. “Vienna also pays more unjust than the adjacent federal states,” criticizes the ÖVP councilor Ingrid Korosec. This not only costs money, but makes the incentives not to work.

Disappointing and unfair
Above all, it is one thing: unfair, the working population. The “Kroon” readers agree. “Isnett” writes: “Our must work 38.5 hours for a net of EUR 1600.00. They get a lot more to do nothing.” “Nero” says, “I just lack the words. This is like a step in the soft tissues for everyone who works.

For many readers, however, the anger is not aimed at the extensive family itself. Austrian families would also receive these services if these eleven children had done. “Eusebia” notes that too low wages contribute to the problem. Almost a family earns, even with two full -time positions, 9,000 euros net per month. This automatically leads to high transfer payments, regardless of the parents’ employment relationship. “The social system must be fundamentally reformed. I no longer want to pay for something like that.” So “endmayago”, which probably speaks from the soul of a large part of the readers.

For Vienna a “edge phenomenon”
For the city of Vienna, such large families – as already explained on the “Krone” on Friday – are a “marginal phenomenon”. “The majority of families in minimal safety are families with a child or two children who make up a total of 58.1 percent of families in minimal safety,” said the office of the responsible city council Peter Hacker (Spö).
