The traffic accident with physical damage caused by bodyguards of the chancellor’s family has been causing a stir for days. As the “Krone” is now reported, Vice Chancellor Werner Kogler’s driver had also caused an accident. He crashed into a parked car in a parking garage in Vienna.
The accident happened two weeks ago. The driver of Vice Chancellor Kogler (Greens) crashed late at night with his company car in a parking garage in Vienna – while parking.
With Kogler’s company car – an Audi Q5 e-tron – the driver caused a total loss to another parked VW, as photos from a “Krone” reader show. Both the rear and the front of the parked vehicle were heavily damaged.
Car next door also damaged
A car parked next to it is said to have been damaged by flying debris and broken glass.
Vice Chancellor ‘got away earlier’
At the request of “Krone”, Kogler’s office confirmed the accident. The Vice Chancellor was not on board, he got out of the car before driving into the parking garage. Kogler’s office also says that the driver immediately called the police and that no one was injured.
