Everton drew against Nottingham and still haven’t won

Date:

Everton still don’t know what it feels like to win and they could bite a point in the draw against Nottingham (1-1) thanks to a goal from Gray in the 87th minute.

It painted an ugly season for the ‘toffees’ and for Frank Lampard.

The game is very even, and even attractive despite the result. Rondón came out on top of the ‘toffee’ attack to try to have more punch, but the one who was sweet for another day was Dean Henderson, the goalkeeper of Nottingham. Of the seven shots Everton made on their goal, only one was successful. The former were stopped by the English goalkeeper, who was the figurehead of his team in these first meetings.

Yours and mine in each team’s attacks turned into an advantage for Nottingham after most of the second half. Johnson took advantage of a Pickford rebound to go ahead with less than ten minutes to go (81′).

Everton seemed touched, but he gained character. Gray attacked the back of the defense and brought down with good control a better pass from Pickford, who was redeemed by the Briton’s goal (88′). And there may be a comeback. Lampard’s men got on board but they lacked punch, and Dean Henderson had plenty too, and things stayed put.
