Roglic: “I don’t have the legs to fight for victory, or follow Remco Evenepoel”

the slovenian Primoz Roglic (Jumbo Visma) admits he doesn’t have the “legs” to keep up with Remco Evenepoel and the Spaniards Enrique More in the increase inl Janus Peakbut despite losing time, the three-time Vuelta winner declared that “he can recover later”.

“I didn’t lose a lot of time, but I didn’t have the legs to fight for the victory, or to follow Remco Evenepoelso I fought until the end”, explained Roglic at the finish line.

A moral blow was received by Roglic, who, far from losing his morale, commented that what is lost now can be regained later.

“There are many rivals who want to win the race or fight for it. There is still a long way to go. Today I lost a bit, but we hope to gain time later,” said the reigning winner of the Vuelta, who referred to the storm as “an atypical time in the Vuelta”.
