We already have that in Mundo Deportivo Gil Manzano recorded in the minutes of Celta-Real Madrid, match corresponding to matchday 2 of the League, the bottle throwing at the start of the second half. The referee from Extremadura, clearly established by protocol, immediately stopped the match and did not resume it until it was announced through the public address system.
The fact was recorded as follows by the Valencian international in the arbitration record: “In the 58th minute, a bottle almost full of water was thrown from a sector where there were fans wearing local club shirts and scarves. It continued in the 60th minute after the public address announcement to stop such behavior. There were no further incidents for the rest of the game.”
An event meant for the Galician club a 602 fine from the Competition Committee, as established by the legal system. Specifically in article 117 of the same Disciplinary Code. where it says that “When the events specified in article 15 of this law occur during a match and are classified by the disciplinary body as minor, the responsible club will be fined up to 602 euros”.
But the question that arises is: what happened to the offending bottle thrower? Well, as the League noted in its complaints on the second day, it was located by the National Police thanks to Balaídos Stadium’s security cameras. This is a Celta subscriber who was immediately kicked out of the stadium after his card was taken. This is how it is collected in the report: “It should be indicated about this incident, that the fan who threw the bottle was identified through the recordings of the stadium’s security cameras, his affiliation data was taken and a record was opened by the complaint of the National Police; his RC Celta season ticket holder was also required to identify himself as such, and he was ejected from the stadium thereafter. The Club later informed us that the internal disciplinary code included in its laws will be applied for this type of action”. What the Galician club did not make public was the disciplinary measure it adopted against the bottle thrower.
