Dybala bigolea and puts a leader in the Rome of Mourinho

Date:

José Mourinho’s Roma are Serie A leaders thanks to his victory this Tuesday at the Olympic against Monza, a victory he achieved in PPaulo Dybala to one of his great opponents, as he put victory on track with a brace in matchday 4 (3-0). The Argentine’s first goals in the new phase of his career.

Inter, Barcelona’s rival in the Champions League, is one point behind Roma after beating Cremonese (3-1). Milan, current champions, have two less than the ‘gianlorossi’ as it did not go 0-0 at home to Sassuolo. If they win, they will be chasing Mourinho’s side Naples (host Lecce this Wednesday), Lazio (visit Sampdoria), Atalanta and Torino (match this Thursday).

It was in the 18th minute when Dybala scored his first goal of the night. His first big night as an Olympic Romanista. Taking advantage of the ball from Tammy Abraham with a header, the Argentina striker started quickly and connected a powerful shot at the far post with his left foot. The goal came as newly-promoted Monza began to work their way into the Romans’ goal, albeit without creating any clear danger.

And in 32′, the second, an opportunistic action by Dybala himself after Abraham’s action. With Monza goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio aiming to stop the move, exjuventino got the ball and made it 2-0a result where the first part ended.

Roma managed to extend their lead in the 61st minute and did so from a set piece. Pellegrini served in a corner and Roger Ibáñez took advantage of it to finish off a header and the meeting is a practical sentence.

Machín hit the ball over the crossbar for Monza in the 82nd minute and Belotti managed a fourth point for Roma, but Di Gregorio kept it out in the 84th minute. Di Gregorio himself prevented Spinazzola from scoring in the 87th minute, assisted by El Shaarawy, who ended up with muscle problems.
