The RFEF offers guilas a place in the Second Federation

The non-registration of the DUX in the 1st RFEF leads to a dance of vacancies

The Royal Spanish Football Federation offered Águilas FC a place to participate in the Second RFEF next season, which kicks off this weekend. Of course, unlike the bid for the square of Extremadura that Estepona eventually made, the purchase of the square on this occasion would have no cost to the aquiline club.

The non-registration of DUX Internacional de Madrid SL, which postponed the opening day game against Deportivo de la Coruña and this weekend’s game against Mérida, created a vacancy in Group I of the First Federation that will put an end to the occupation of the Talavera. Tudelano, Real Valladolid Promesas and Zamora were the other clubs that, out of interest, chose to fill the DUX’s vacancy in the third national step.

After the “rise” of Talavera to Group I of the First Federation, there is again a vacancy in Group V of the Second RFEF. Let’s not forget that in this group will play the teams from Madrid, Extremadura, La Mancha, Melilla, Gimnástica Segoviana, Atlético El Paso and Estepona, the team that made the highest bid and eventually took the place of the now extinct Extremadura .

The vacancy left by Talavera has been offered to both Cerdanyola and Águilas, the two clubs that wanted to fill Extremadura’s vacancy because of sporting merit. The Catalan club, according to what THE TRUTH has learned, has resigned to take the place they will, if the Eagles want, without having to pay a single euro to register.

Between next Wednesday and Thursday, the final composition of the leagues in the First Federation, Second RFEF and Third Division will be known, as the restructuring of the higher categories will eventually create vacancies for the teams occupying places. Aquiline businessman Alfonso García expressed his interest in filling that vacancy in statements to LA VERDAD a few weeks ago. He also approved it this Tuesday, and in these hours it must be resolved when he finally enrolls in the Second RFEF.

The chairman of the coastal club was prepared to bid for a value of around 250,000 euros to solve the vacancy in Extremadura. They eventually bid on both Estepona and the ‘new’ Extremadura 1924 worth 512,000 euros, closing the door on Águilas. On this occasion, a day after the market closes, the possibility is opened that the Region of Murcia has another representative in the fourth tier of national football.

The squad composition, despite the short time frame given by the market closure, would mean that the aquiline club could be reinforced with players not under contract with other clubs to bolster a strong squad for the Third Division, which has also incorporated such interesting pieces as the defender Dani Pérez (UE Costa Brava), the striker Aitor Pons (AD Mérida), Góngora (Talavera) or Peque (Mar Menor).
