Hojbjerg and Harry Kane stepped up at Tottenham

With goals from Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Kane, Tottenham met again this Saturday with victory and punished Fulham, who trusted until the end to come out with a prize in London (2-1).

A goal that made Harry Kane only the third top scorer in the Premier calmed down Antonio Conte’s side, who went down to the wire with the slim advantage provided by Hojbjerg’s goal near the break.

Kane, with 188 goals, has left Andrew Cole behind. He is just ahead of Alan Shearer (260) and Wayne Rooney (208).

Spurs, who did not go beyond a draw against West Ham on the last day, won again although they suffered in the last minute when Aleksandre Mitrovic closed the gap with ten minutes to play.

Spurs’ dominance has nothing to do with the scoreboard. Only Son Heung Min Son truly disrupts Marco Silva’s box area. The Asian shot the crossbar in the clearest chance of the match.

The goal came four before intermission on a wall between Richarlison and Hojbjerg who shot and beat Bernd Leno.

Then the dynamic continued. Fulham still need not take any chances as the game is alive. Eric Dier managed to extend the run but then Mitrovic gave the first warning in a good move from Fulham.

Silva played it at the time. He made a triple change. He released Daniel James, Tom Cimey and Willian. Soon Son scored again but Leno avoided the goal.

Kane calmed the home team down as Ryan Sessegnon’s action finished twice. The last rejection was caught by the Tottenham attacker who scored to raise his records.

The clash seemed to be closed but Fulham did not let up with just one loss against Arsenal. Mitrovic took his talent to score a great goal and bring uncertainty to the match.

The match almost ended with a goal disallowed by VAR by Richarlison who later received a yellow card. Tottenham closed the matter with a new victory that lifted him, for the moment, to the second position, waiting for the sixth date of the Premier to complete.
