Weerts and Vanthoor win the GT World Challenge Sprint Cup; Rossi, 12th in Cheste

Belgian pilots Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor (Audi) was revealed champions of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit after the WRT Audi drivers finished third in the first race, where the former motorcyclist Valentino Rossi (Audi) and his partner Fréderic Vervish finished in twelfth place.

Weerts and Vanthoor finished third on the podium but their main rivals, Timur Boguslavsky and Raffaele Marciello (Mercedes), they were only eighth which mathematically gave them the title.
