A place in the Ulster Under 20 soccer tournament is in jeopardy for the four teams that will compete in today’s semi-finals.
On a sports ground in Armagh, Kavan meets Derry, while Celtic Park hosts the second semi-final match between Donegal and Tyrone. Both games will start at 8pm.
Dawn beat Monaghan with an emotionally charged decision at Armagh last year, but left the competition after losing to Tyrone in the quarter-finals.
Red Hands have a very good record in their class and have won titles in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
However, Donegal had his measure in the pre-season Leo Murphy Cup match, which they won 2-10:1-6.
Derry is another team that should perform well in the class at the level of their youth strongest and the Macro Cup.
Breffnimen reportedly finished fourth in a row when the competition was held at the under-21 level in 2011-2014, with many of those teams now leading Mickey Graham’s first team.
There is no doubt that some future stars will be appearing at Armagh and Derry this evening and we will have score updates on both stadiums from 8pm.
