The RFEF find a tv Spanish Supercup which will be held under the ‘Final Four’ format in Saudi Arabia. The federation has just started the contracting process for the competition for the 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons.
It has therefore just started the procedure for receiving bids from potential candidates to submit their applications for acquiring audiovisual exploitation rights for this competition.
In the offer, to which this newspaper had access, three matches of the competition were exclusively offered: the two semifinals and the final.
It exclusively allows its broadcast, whether live open or closed, with state coverage for its broadcast through the following media through any medium or platform.
Those interested have until next October 17 to file their candidacy. From that date, there will be 20 days before the audiovisual operator who remains in this competition with the current champion being the real Madridalso won the first edition, after defeating the Athletic Club of Bilbaowinner of the second edition of the contest.
Whoever ultimately retains the audiovisual rights shall pay ten percent (10%) of the consideration on the date of signing the contract. The remaining ninety percent (90%) of the consideration must be paid, as a deadline, on December 15, 2022. The same will be true for the following seasons 2023 and 2024
The review body in charge of reviewing the various proposals consists of President of the RFEF, Luis Rubiales, or the person he appoints on his behalf. There are also the Financial Director, Legal Advice, Competitions, Marketing and head of the Television department.
We will see what offers the federal body presented because, as we have already thought in this newspaper, it received a total of 21,157,005 euros for the contract of the first three years that has just ended. In the last edition they were 7,233,456 euros held Saudi Arabia To which must be added 6,893,688 euros for the January 2020 edition that will also be held in the country; and the 7,029,861 of the 2021 edition held in Spain as a result of COVID.
