City of Murcia. The club strives to continue to grow in the category

New season for Ciudad de Murcia in third place with the recent reference of a 2021/22 season in which it achieved the best qualifying position since its re-establishment. José Barnés’ team even had a first-round dream that kept them in the play-off positions for promotion for 18 days. After that came the injuries of the main players and the team paid for the wear and tear of the competition, although the balance in the overall calculation is positive.

Therefore, the good feelings remain for a new season in the Third Federation that seems complicated by the level of the contenders. The aim is to try and repeat last season’s success, even knowing that Group XIII, with only 16 teams in the running, is very competitive and it will be very difficult to stay out of the relegation spots.

The directive chaired by José Francisco Navarro and with a social mass of 700 subscribers is confident that the sports project will continue to bear fruit with work in the medium term. They have once again chosen to put together a very young squad made up of very talented and promising players who will certainly be the talk of the town for years to come. To compensate for the lack of seniority of the youngsters, some players with experience in the Third Division have also been included in order to find the ideal balance.

At the head of the bench is Paco Lorca, with a very clear picture of the football he wants to show the team: good handling of the ball, mastery of possession and control of the game, dodging balls and trying to get out with the ball played from defense.
