Sergi Darder did not shine against Osasuna on Thursday as he has done in previous games, as he handled the ball very little and only managed to link himself intelligently on a few occasions. The Spanish captain lamented the disappointment that had brought his team down, but supporters have rallied ahead of Sunday’s ‘final’ against Elche.
“We had two or three clear chances, especially Cabrera’s shot in the first half and we haven’t scored on them yet. They have been many and few occasions, but it is true that they have played more in our field than we would like. We have to get up quickly because on Sunday we have another game”, warned the man from Artà on the microphones of DAZN after insisting that “we are not taking advantage of the chances we have”.
Darder confessed that “we know that getting 12 points is very important and we stayed with 9. We are in a very wide group of teams where the difference in points is minimal. Within that group, we have to be among the best. That is achieved by winning. On Sunday, we have a very important game and we have to do that”
