Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, said this Friday that Erling Haaland, its great starwho missed the last two games for the ‘citizen’ team through injury and illness, is “better” and wants to return to the team this Saturday in the Premier against Fulham at the Etihad.
“It’s better. We will now decide whether to play or not on Saturday. The first phase went well, but we will decide after the second training session,” assured Guardiola.
Injured in a leg (against Borussia Dortmund) and then fell ill, Haaland did not play in the Premier at home to Leicester (0-1 for City on October 29) and the match on the last day of the Champions League against Sevilla (3-1 for Guardiola’s side on November 2). He returned to practice on Thursday.
Haaland has 22 goals in 16 games in all competitions this season, his first at City.
