Nacho Nouveau admits he is “surprised” that Stephen Davis has been playing for Rangers this season and insists the veteran midfielder can play under the age of 40.

He told the Daily Record: “I’m surprised Stephen hasn’t played a little more under Giovanni.
“In fact, he is the best midfielder in Rangers.
“There is no doubt: he can still go. He is so fit that he probably plays under the age of 40.
“He’s a great player. I don’t know what’s going on on the pitch or what Geo sees, so I can’t comment on why he doesn’t play much.
“But if you’re addicted, he’ll play every game.
