Dawn said James McCartney is still in the role of director of football after rumors about his future in the past few days.
This will be followed by a thrilling weekend for Morney County after alleged misconduct while training in Dublin.
It is understood that several members of the team returned home on Saturday with McCartney, who is reported to have informed Down County Council of his intention to leave his role.
On Monday, Down County Council denied holding an extraordinary executive meeting, but Belfast Live understands that high-level talks have been held to resolve the matter.
Tonight (Wednesday), Dawn’s Minister, Sean Ogg McKatter, told Gallic Life that the matter is now being considered, saying: “This issue has been resolved to everyone’s satisfaction. The players have taken responsibility and have rectified the situation.”
McAteer also confirmed that McCartney’s behind-the-scenes team, O’Rourke, Ronan McMahon and Philip McEvoy remained the same.
McCartney was one of the most recent appointments before the 2022 campaign, after a lengthy management search for a replacement for Paddy Talley, who would later join Jack O’Connor’s management team at Kerry.
Dawn suffered relegation from the second division last month and must reach the provincial final to avoid taking part in the opening of the Thailand Cup.
Mourners hope to get the Saga back quickly as they continue to prepare for the Ulster SFC quarter-final match with Monaghan on Saturday 30 May in transcripts.
