Dacal, the only Spanish medalist at the 1972 Munich Olympics, died

The Asturian boxer Enrique Rodríguez Cal “Dacal”winner of Spain’s only medal at the Olympic Games in Munich 1972passed away this Wednesday at Aviles victim of THE Athe disease that he has been fighting in recent months, as reported to EFE by family sources.

Dakal71 years old, was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ELA) at the beginning of this year, where he still took part in a famous career, although the rapid development of the disease soon prevented him from continuing to practice sports.
