The Board of Directors of UD Ibiza was dismissed this Wednesday Juan Antonio Anquela as coach of the first team, ranked twenty-first and penultimate in LaLigaSmartBank with 12 points in the first 16 days.
In a brief statement sent this Wednesday, the UD Ibiza have reported that the next training sessions will be led by the club’s coaches and physical trainers until a new coach is hired.
The note appreciates the “effort” and “dedication” of the coach and his team during this period. The Jaen coach arrived at the sky-blue club just a month ago, on October 24, to replace the also sacked Javier Baraja.

During this period, Anquela managed only one draw, against CD Mirandés, and suffered three defeats in the league championship. In contrast, the Balearic Islands achieved a victory in the first round of the Copa del Rey against Palencia Cristo Atlético (0-2).
The Ibizan club currently occupies the penultimate place in the table with 12 points in the portfolio and has added only one point from the last 21 contested.
Anquela is the ninth manager to be dismissed in LaLiga Smartbank this season.
