Saudi Arabia’s sports minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, urged in an interview with Sky Sports that investors in the country are interested in buying United and Liverpool. “If there is an investor and it is a good business, it will benefit the private sector, so that there will be more interest in our country and new companies will come. The Premier is the best league in the world. Everyone can see it and here we have a lot of fans. It will be beneficial for everyone,” he said.
Both Fenway Sports Group, owners of Liverpool, and the Glazer family, owners of United, have expressed their interest in allowing new members to join the clubs or sell them. The goal, besides getting in close to 5,000 millionis to maintain a competitive level against clubs like City or Newcastle
