Albert Llovera returns to the Dakar and will do so with his niece Margot as co-driver

Albert Lloveraa 56-year-old Andorran pilot, will compete for the eighth time in Dakar and will do it with the team Ford Trucks Spain and with his nephew, Margot Lloberaas co-pilot.

The paraplegic pilot has become the new ambassador of Ford Trucks Spain and this morning he was present at the official presentation held in Madrid.

In the truck of this brand, he is accompanied by Peter Vojkovsky, who will be responsible for taking care of the mechanics.Already his niece Margot Llobera, who will be responsible for guiding Albert Llovera to the sands of Saudi Arabia. This will be her second experience as a co-driver after her debut last year with the CMR Group Women Dakar Team, an all-female team and with Catalan Mercè Martí as pilot.

The Czech team FESH FESH will once again manage to check the Ford and leave it in the best conditions. “Albert Llovera embodies everything that I consider important in the human group that I lead and that we try to transfer to our clients with our slogan ‘We share the load’. His story says it all because he is a man who has no limits for him”, assured José Luis Quero, CEO of Ford Trucks Spain.

last year Albert Llovera failed to finish the Dakar at the wheel of Iveco. His best position was a 15th place. “The Dakar is a unique race and every participation, every stage, is unknown. I can only say that we are ready to be competitive and to be at the top of the standings.”

Margot Llobera will do her first Dakar in a truck. “Blessed to be able to share an experience like the Dakar with a family member and more than Albert. I never thought about it. I feel ready to be a co-driver.”

The test will take place tomorrow at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet and in the second half of December, Albert and his team will go to Saudi Arabia.
