The American Cameron Young leads the RBC Heritage American circuit golf tournament with 63 strokes -8 under parwho held the first round this Thursday at Harbor Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina (USA), with two shots ahead of Chilean Joaquin Niemann.
Young made no mistake and closed his round with 8 birdies, much like Niemann, who, however, made two bogeys and finished with 65 hits.
Another Chilean, Mito Pereira, was third with 66 shots after finishing with five birdies. Because he shares six other golfers, among them the sixth -ranked in the world rankings, American Patrick Cantlay, who also has five birdies.
Last year’s RBC Heirtage champion, the American, finished his first round with 67 hits Stewart Cink, who added an eagle – par four 10th hole – and four birdies for two bogeys.
The tournament, which ends this Sunday, offers $ 8 million in prize money, $ 1,278,000 for the winner and 500 FedExCup points.
