Date:

The German coach Hansi Flickshowed his frustration at the elimination at Qatar World Cupbut he did not attribute it to the defeat of Spain against Japanesebut in their own faults.

“I’m not interested in the other teams. We had it in our hands, it’s all our fault. We had a lot of chances against Spain in the first half and also against Japanese. If we marked them things would be different. It’s annoying that we made a lot of mistakes,” said the coach.

About the future, flip he assured that “we must review what has been done and draw conclusions”, but he appealed to “do things differently” and indicated that “for the future, for the next ten years, it is important to focus on the next generation” .

“We just left world and we want to try to rise as soon as possible for the future. We will see how we can apply our projects. Now we can no longer talk about Euro 2024, we have to review our work and open another path. We will do it quickly,” he said.

Regarding the quality of the squad, he assured that “the results don’t lie”, but he remembered that Germany it has players who are “at the best club in the world”.

“There is quality,” said the coach, who admitted “mistakes” and assured that he was not looking for excuses. “If we win Spain the situation will be perfect. But it’s not like that. Today we did our homework, but the result could have been better,” he commented.
