The Olympic committees of the USA, Russia and China, were summoned to an Olympic Summit

those of United States, Russia and China is Only three National Olympic Committees were invited to the Olympic Summit that the IOC has convened for next Friday, which will be attended by various world sport leaders to discuss the state of the Olympic Movement and its future challenges.

The summit will be led by Thomas Bachhead of the IOC, and the agenda includes a review of the Beijing 2022 Winter Games and the subsequent Paris 2024 Games, an update on the candidacies for the 2030 Winter Games and a review of the optimization of the Olympic Games. The fight against doping, eSports and the Olympic qualification series complete the agenda.

Russian athletes are currently excluded from the qualification processes for Paris 2024, as their federations followed IOC recommendations to remove them from the competition as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine continues.

Neither the Russian Olympic Committee nor the Russian member of the IOC suffered any punishment.

Together with Thomas Bach, who between Monday and Wednesday is also presiding over an IOC Executive meeting in Lausanne (Switzerland), these leaders will participate in this summit, in person or online:
