Fernando SantosPortugal’s national coach, identified this Monday for the first time the challenging attitude shown by Cristiano Ronaldo at the time of the change, last Friday, in Portugal-South Korea which closed the group stage of the World Cup.
In the press conference before the clash that the Portuguese team will play this Tuesday against Switzerland, corresponding to the round of 16, the coach showed his deep illness for the Portugal captain’s attitude.
“The truth is, in the field I never had the opportunity to listen to anything he said,” explained Santos. “But then I saw the pictures on TV and I didn’t like them”he said emphatically.
As to how he would resolve the situation, the coach opted for caution, adhering to football codes: “We’ll fix it in the locker room. And final point”, concluded.
