William Carvalho: “The dream of a nation has been taken away from us”

William Carvalho showed his regret this Sunday after the removal of World Cup Portugal, as he assured that “the dream of a nation has been stolen from us”. “We know that football gives a lot, but it also takes. And yesterday, the dream of a Nation was taken from us. We wanted so much! We fought so hard! But it is not always enough. Many thank you to all the Portuguese who supported us”, the Real Betis midfielder wrote on his twitter account.

After being left out of the Portuguese team, William Carvalho will enjoy a few days off before joining Real Betis, which is expected to happen on December 22, so he should arrive in time to play against them.
