The Spanish women’s soccer team already have an ‘operational base’ in worldafter confirming to FIFA that of the 29 teams that have been classified for the appointment of Australia Y New Zealand from July 20 to August 20 of the following year.
The Spanish women will train at the Massey Sport Institute facilities and stay at the Copthorne Hotel in Palmerston North (New Zealand). Spain is in Group C of the World Cup along with Costa Rica, Zambia and Japan.
Operational bases are a ‘second home’ for teams during the tournament, consisting of training facilities and accommodation. In addition to the operational bases, there are venue assembly hotels and venue training facilities linked to the ten stadiums that will host the matches, which will be used mainly on the eve of the matches.
