Hugo Lloris, goalkeeper and captain of the French team, assured after defeating Morocco (2-0) at the Al Bayt stadium, that Sunday “will be a great final” of the World Cup.
“Argentina is a great team, with a player who has marked the history of this sport (Leo Messi), but we have arguments,” said the Tottenham goalkeeper, who was key to the victory against the Moroccan team.
Lloris also admitted that in the semifinal they “suffered a lot” from the pressure of their rival, but they were “satisfied with the work done”, which allowed them to “have a golden opportunity for the French team to go down in the soccer history”, champion of Russia 2018 and seeking his second consecutive World Cup.
“We were strong, we suffered when we had to, although not everything was perfect. We will have to present all our best arguments on Sunday,” said Lloris.
