Gianni Infantino, president of FIFA, announced this Friday 32 teams will participate in the Club World Cup from 2025, with a format similar to the current World Cup. The teams that will participate in the new format will be the most powerful in each continental confederation, as well as the host. “The details have to be worked out,” the top FIFA official said.

Infantino explained that FIFA expects revenues of 10.5 million euros between 2022 and 2025, a figure that does not include those generated by the new Club World Cup in 2025.

On the other hand, it should be remembered The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico. Argentina and France will play in the final of the current one, Qatar 2022, this Sunday.
