Girona will play this Monday afternoon from 7:00 pm the first of three remaining home games before the end of the League. With the absence of 21 points for the League end, and with the option to be six away from direct promotion in case Real Sociedad B is beaten, the game should serve to regain the sensations and take a new step towards ensuring of promotion for Ponferradina, Las Palmas and Oviedo also sigh.
Real Sociedad B, the League’s only subsidiary, will visit Montilivi, a stronghold for Girona in 2022 and a stage where Míchel’s staff have won five of the seven games they have played this calendar year. The consecutive streak, which has been good since the turn of the year, has improved in the last three games, where the Catalans added three consecutive wins after beating the lowest against Eibar.
The rojiblancos have seven games left to finish the Smartbank League, and only three are at home, where after Monday they will not play again until the weekend of May 8 against Tenerife, one of the rivals in battle for next year to become a First Division team. The last rival to visit the Girona fiefdom is Mirandés, who will make it to the penultimate day of the League and no one is at stake.
