This Wednesday, in an assembly held at Rio de Janeirothe so-called Liga Forte Futebol (LLF) block, led by Fluminense, Internacional and Atlético Mineiro, approved the proposal by stockbroker XP Investimentos, advised by Spain’s LaLiga.

Without disclosing the details of the amounts, the clubs issued a joint statement in which they announced ABC de Natal as a new member of the bloc and gave a period of ninety days to close negotiations with the company that operates the market of finance.

“The approved proposal is valid for LFF clubs independently and also for a single league of forty clubs (first and second division), in the event of unification,” the statement said.

A Brazilian-style Premier League

The model, featured by 26 clubs, is the English Premier League, where the difference for the distribution of dividends between the teams considered “big” and the smallest is the smallest in the tournaments of the main countries .

“We have taken an important step with the signing of 26 clubs, but we will continue with the goal that everyone will sign. This is a movement that has everything to be like the other major leagues in the world, like the Premier and LaLiga,” declared Marcelo Paz, president of Lakas.
