Kubler’s victory over Albert Ramos put the Spain-Australia match at 2-2

Date:

Albert Ramos lost to Australian Jason Kubler 6-3, 4-6 and 6-3 and the match between his two teams in the United Cup was tied 2-2, so it was decided in mixed doubles.

Jéssica Bouzas and David Vega will be looking for the final point against Samantha Stosur and John Peersalthough neither team had a chance of going through the round, as Great Britain won the group.

In the first game of the day, Jéssica Bouzas defeated Olivia Gadecki 6-2, 6-2.

Bouzas and Ramos were finally chosen to jump on the track this Tuesday, instead of Paula Badosa and Pablo Carreño, who were initially planned.

Ramos, player 39 of the ATP, did not join Kluber, 107. The first set, more than expected, was complicated for Ramos when he lost his serve in the fourth game. He regained it in the seventh but gave it up again in the next, in a blistering finish to Kluber’s set.

In the second, no one gave a chance. A break point, converted by Ramos, gave him the set and the option to continue playing. But in the third, after two immaculate service games, he conceded the next break and this time he couldn’t get it back. After a long exchange, which rightly lasted longer, he had to admit defeat.

Bouzas, on the other hand, comfortably won his game. He opened the gap from the beginning of the match, with three consecutive games and two breaks, and quickly scored the first set.

The Australian player seemed to react at the start of the second set, but the Galician responded with five straight games and finally closed out the match with another 6-2.
