Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, number five in the world and second seed, reunited with the titles by winning, against Czech Linda Noskova, the eleventh of her career, after winning the final in Adelaide 6-3, 7-6 (4) .
Sabalenka won the first set with authority in 38 minutes, but in the second Noskova did not give up and it was necessary to use a ‘tie break’ in which the Belarusian imposed her greatest experience to achieve victory in a tournament, that hasn’t happened since 2021.
The 18-year-old Czech and 102 in the world ranking defended her luck until the end and in a thrilling tiebreaker where both players lost the turn to serve multiple times (4 Noskova and 3 Sabalenka), Sabalenka prevailed after 1 hour and 46 minutes of match.
