Yeclano and Mar Menor close the first part of the season in the ‘playoff’, but visitors have not won since October
The first regional derby in La Constitución of the season ended without a winner (0-0). The two best teams in the region offered a match with rhythm in this first round, with arrivals but where there were no goals and where they showed their shortcomings in this winter transfer market that leaves them without troops.
The two sets jumped onto the field without a nine due to the losses in this period of additions. Yecla’s made their debut in their field with new lamps that offered a vision of the 21st century and pleased the onlookers. About 2,000 people wanted to be present at this special competition. The match started with an intense Yeclano having more arrival at Rodri’s door. Alvarito, who acted as striker in the first 45 minutes, had two dangerous approaches.
Iván, Álvaro, Juanmi, Gabri, Diego Ruiz, Bauti, Riquelme (Álvaro Martínez, m. 63), Luispa (Javi Heranz, m. 46), Manu Costa (Rail, m. 63), Pedrosa (Alonso, m. 75 ) and Alvarito.
Rodri, Tekio, Morros, Baro, Cifu, Vázquez (Botona, m. 61), Bernabéu, José Manuel, Antonio (Pipo, m. 55), Quin Araújo, Iván Pérez (Bertomeu, m. 90).
The truth is that those from Yecla tried harder, led by a Riquelme who continues to improve after the injury. The Catalans arrived at the door of San Javier, but did not do so with the smoothness and clarity that characterized them in this first round. The shots from Riquelme himself, Luispa and Juanmi did not find the target. Adrián’s men have gone four games without scoring against a Mar Menor team who were competitive and failed to reach the Yecla area with ambition. They rested aimlessly.
In the second half, Adrián Hernández made their two new forward debuts at La Constitución: Javi Heranz and Raúl Martínez. However, these changes did not change the dynamics of the party. The Catalans came out with intensity and it looked like they wanted more clarity in the creation, but apart from two arrivals at the start of Manu Costa and Alvarito, the rest struggled to reach the coast gate.
And it is that the Mar Menor was better in this segment of the game and mainly because of two players: Quim Araújo and Iván Pérez created danger in Iván Martínez’s area.
The visitors took ownership of the ball and the game, they were superior in the disputes for the ball and had a better physique to face the last stretch of the game, but they lacked definition in the last pass and in the shot to to score and take the three points from Yecla.
