The Neuer clause that is troubling Bayern

Date:

The Bayern Munich was maddened by the serious injury of Manuel Neuer. The unfortunate accident the German goalkeeper suffered while skiing at his leisure after his participation in Qatar World Cup It was expensive for the player, who broke his crusaders and will be out for months, but also for the Bavarian club. Basically for three reasons, as revealed in the ‘Bayern Insider’ podcast.

First, because they lost their starting goalkeeper, a goalkeeper with experience and leadership, a key part of the team. Outside of that, there are two reasons why Bayer is so bad. And both relate to the goalkeeper clause. In it (and it was ignored by the club) it is said that Neuer (as in many other cases) cannot practice dangerous sports in his spare time. But he did it and very unluckily he had an accident and the club didn’t seem to consider the captain.

Later, the time that the club must continue to pay Neuer’s salary while he is on leave would have expired under normal conditions, but in the German international’s case, his clause stipulates that he must continue to earn more months than usual. If we add to this the cost (which they do not count) which means that it is necessary to sign the Swiss Yann Sommer (10 million), the economic ‘stick’ is doubled.
