Arminia fired the coach in an attempt to avoid relegation

Arminia Bielefeld, penultimate in the Bundesliga, announced on Wednesday the removal of coach Frank Kramer, who took over in March 2021, in a desperate attempt to avoid relegation.

Four days from the end of the German championship, Arminia is in a seven-game losing streak without a win and fell to relegation positions on Saturday due to Hertha Berlin’s victory over Augsburg (0-1).

Arminia, who lost 3-0 at home to Bayern Munich on Sunday, will be replaced by goalkeeping coach Marco Kostmann on a temporary basis.

Intense battle for relegation place
