On January 26, in Room 5 of Aribau Multicines Balañá in Barcelona, a lot of nerves were in the air. But, most of all, there is joy and enthusiasm for what is to come. And that’s it, for a group of seven young people, or rather, seven “crazies”, the day has come to open up to the world and share with a thousand people the inspiring story of an adventure that takes place with a clear message : “When dreams are shared, they come true.” That is the main message of a story full of dreams, challenges, friendships, camaraderie and efforts presented in the documentary ‘El efecto All1’, which premiered last week in Barcelona (it can be seen again at Bosque Multicines next February 2 and 9 ) and will also premiere in Madrid in the coming months. A documentary where you can live from within the work and sacrifices made by a group of young people aims to become the largest amateur team in Dakar historyThe ‘All 1 Team’, currently fighting to participate on a motorcycle in the toughest test in the world in the 2024 edition.
Alex’s list
It all started as a way to honor and overcome the conflict of Álex Llibre, a 26-year-old who died prematurely in a motorcycle accident in 2017leaving a list of ‘101 things to do in life’. Led by Carlosthe twin of Alexhis closest environment is clear that his spirit must remain alive and that is how the tragedy, far from being a sad story, becomes a magnet of illusion through what they call ALL1. For five years, this group of seven adrenaline-junk friends have been checking off the challenges and wishes on that list, until it starts the most difficult challenge: to participate in the 2024 Dakar Rally on a motorcycle as the largest amateur team.
In this dream it was removed and covered by motorists like Carlos Sainz, Laia Sanz and Miki Arpa, on January 26, brave pilots filled the biggest cinema in Catalonia, attracting a community of almost a thousand people including friends, family, acquaintances and even people outside Álex. All have a very clear purpose: defend the meaning of life through a narrative recounting his experience in the Rally of Morocco, springboard competition in his particular “Road to Dakar”.
Some Dakarians do not want to miss the appointment
Between cheers and applause, two of the young people on a motorcycle they passed through the corridors of the hall to the stage, where Marc Martín, presenter of the Dakar on Teledeporte, was waiting for them to introduce a documentary directed by Andy Zancan that goes straight to the hearts of all viewers. For 40 minutes, those present were lucky enough to live and feel the message these young people have been sending for over four years: that the will to live should guide people’s present and future.
Jordi Viladoms, Billy Bolt, Oriol Vidal, Francesc Moret, Miki Arpa, Jaime Alguersuari, Jaime Puig, Armand Monleón, Iván Cervantes, Cristina Gutiérrez and Sandra Gómezall the leaders in the motor world, will not want to miss this event and show their support for the ‘ALL1’ project.
Twice more in Barcelona and it will be released in Madrid
The success of the call was such that Grupo Balañá opened two new screenings at Bosque Multicines on February 2 and 9 and the premiere in the coming months in Madrid have been confirmed.
On January 26, seven talented friends showed that ‘the ALL1 effect’ is more than adventure, challenge or management in a Dakar, the toughest event in the world of motorsport. It is a magical journey for someone who is not here and who, without knowing it, gives inspiration and life to the dreams of many other people. The premiere in Barcelona is just a sample of everything ‘All1’ has in mind. Because they say, “When dreams are shared, they come true.”
