Elche striker Pere Milla underwent surgery on Wednesday for a left clavicle injury sustained in the match against Villarreal and could be out for up to two months.

The Catalan player, who underwent surgery by doctors Mariano de Prado and Pedro Luis Ripoll at the ‘Ripoll y De Prado Sport Clinic FIFA Medical Center of Excellence in Murcia’, at the Quironsalud Murcia Hospital, suffered a fracture of the proximal middle third of the left the clavicle.

This injury occurred on top of an existing and recovered fracture suffered by the footballer several years ago.

The player had the fracture reduced and osteosynthesis applied using a plate and six screws.

The intervention, as De Prado commented, was a complete “success” and passed without any complications, so Pere Milla will be released this Thursday.

The Elche striker’s return to the pitch is pending, according to the medical report, the “evolution of the injury and rehabilitation”, although everything indicates that he will be out for between a month and a half and two months.
