Fernando Verdasco lost on Tuesday against Moldovan Radu Albot in the first round of the ATP 250 tournament in Delray Beach (United States) in an even match that was resolved in two tiebreakers: 7-6 (3) and 7-6 (1).

The man from Madrid gave up the first set which he dominated 1-3 and 3-5. In the second he also started commanding 0-2 on the scoreboard and with the others at 4-5, but the Moldovan rallied again to close the contest in the second ‘tie break’.
Albot will play in the round of 16 against the winner of Wednesday’s match between Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp and Frenchman Quentin Halys.
