Unfortunately for the goalkeeper and his team, he tripped at the most inopportune moment and the ball ended up in the goal to the surprise of everyone present.
As expected, Masafi’s team apologized and in the ensuing action allowed an Al-Arabi player to score an empty net goal to make up for the unfortunate act, a gesture that was widely applauded among those network although it had no effect on the scoreboard, as the final result remained unchanged, with victory by two goals to one for the locals.
