On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Women In Bike launches an exciting video collecting women’s testimonies which, during almost five years of the life of the project of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation, has joined the pioneering initiative to promote the bike among women.
The program, which has had the collaboration of Movistar since its inception, was born in 2018 under the ambitious premise of creating the largest community of women on bicycles in our country.
A goal that has grown year by year to the point that today Women In Bike is made up of more than 300 leaders across Spain, women who encourage others to ride a bike, accompanying them on their outings with the aim of grow a community that has already held more than 16,000 meetings.

“The bike saved my life”, “I recently became a mother and I take advantage of every moment I have to ride the bike and disconnect”“the bike has a lot of magic”, “the bike changes your life”, “woman, sport and bike are the three essential legs in my life”… These are some of the emotional messages conveyed by the female protagonists of the video.
José Luis López Cerrón, president of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation, wants to highlight today “the importance of a project that has allowed hundreds of women to discover a new passion such as cycling. We are very proud of every step we have taken to see and promote women’s cycling and on a day like today we can only thank all the women who have made Women In Bike the great community it is today”.
