Santos took the lead in the Brazilian Championship on Sunday after beating América Mineiro 3-0 and thanks to the Corinthians ’stumble against Palmeiras the previous day on the third day of the league.
‘Peixe’, who started the group of favorites for the title, showed their strength this Sunday and won at home thanks to one goal from Marcos Leonardo and two goals from Zanocelo. After the victory, he climbed to the top of the rank, with 7 units.
Santos has the same points as Atlético Mineiro, who drew 2-2 with Coritiba the previous day, but stays in front thanks to a better goal balance.
