Liverpool fans will pay more to see their team

Date:

Liverpool, a Premier League club, will raise the price of its season tickets for the first time in nine years, it reported on Tuesday.

The Anfield team will increase the price of their season tickets by 2% from the 2023/2024 season, which means season ticket holders will pay around 17 pounds (20 euros) more each year.

Season ticket prices have been frozen for the last eight seasons, but the club has decided to make adjustments ahead of the opening of the remodeled Anfield stand, which will increase the stadium’s capacity to 61,000 spectators from August.

Liverpool justified the price increase on matchday operating data, which has increased by 40% over the past five years, as well as bills, such as electricity and water, which have increased by 100%.

However, the increase is less than that carried out by teams such as Manchester United, Arsenal and Everton, which increased the price of its subscriptions by 10%.
