The Classical referee has decided

Date:

The referee of Classic next Sunday has been decided. Yesterday Monday morning, as usual, the meeting of the Professional Football Arbitration Appointment Committee took place. This is the body in charge of carrying out the designations of the First and Second divisions, as stated in the Royal Decree of the Spanish Sports Federations.

Two referees are better placed. One of them is Sanchez Martinez. It is true that the Murcian, who is also considered one of the best referees in the category, blew the whistle in the first leg at the Santiago Bernabéu and just directed Barcelona-Sevilla a few days ago at the Camp Nou – Real Madrid in San Mames. The Murcian did not blow the whistle this past weekend nor did he act as VAR. This puts him for the first time among the options to land at the Camp Nou.

The same thing happens with another candidate soto level. He didn’t even whistle last weekend and he didn’t act as VAR either. It is true that only ten days ago he became a referee of the Betis – Real Madrid league. Surprisingly, he has yet to whistle for the Barça team this season. A good example of the moment he was in his appointment for the quarter-round derby of the Cup between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid.

From there there are a few more options. Starting with Hernandez Hernandez. In the case of the canary, he has also whistled the two big ones in the League. At Real Madrid in their visit to Mallorca and at Barcelona a week later at Villarreal. Another choice for his experience and seniority is Mateu Lahoz. He is also an expert on the classic league whistle. It happened against the Valencian in the Catalan derby on December 31 and he lost several weeks of vacation.

This list is completed by Valencian international Martínez Munuera and Madrid-based official of the Balearic association, Cuadra Fernández.
