Peter Gonzalez is not available for Luis de la Fuente in the matches against Norway (Saturday 25) and Scotland (Tuesday 28), qualifying for Euro 2024. The Canarian midfielder entered the list of those summoned for the first time but a few hours later he was called off.
“The national coach, Louis of Sourcehas called off Peter for the next two matches of the Spanish National Team after talks held between the medical services of the Royal Spanish Football Federation and FC Barcelona”, read the official statement from the RFEF which announced that Peter finally it will not be available in the selector.
Regarding whether or not a player will attend in his place, the RFEF indicated that this decision will be reviewed in the next few hours. It should be noted that the number of mentions by Louis of Source is 26, so nothing Peter will remain at 25. For the midfield, the new coach has Rodrigo Hernández, Martin Zubimendi, Gavi, Mikel Merino, Fabián Ruiz and Dani Ceballos.
